At 18:34 on Sunday, 2 February, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Main jet

Incident involving controlled burning - fire crews are extinguishing fire due to smoke issuing towards residential properties

Build bonfires well clear of buildings and never use flammable liquids to start the fire. Before you light the bonfire, check that children and animals are not hiding inside and are a safe distance away. Don't leave bonfires unattended. Don't light bonfires in unsuitable weather conditions.
