At 11:00 on Thursday, 20 February, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Flooding in Melverley.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit, the Pinzgauer and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Church Stretton, Prees and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews are in the Melverley area carrying our risk assessments and potential rescues for those most affected or in danger as a result of the recent flooding.
