At 21:52 on Tuesday, 14 April, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Buckets of water
  • Knapsacks

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

This was a bonfire lit on public land. Crews have extinguished the fire using buckets of water and knapsack sprayer.

Build bonfires well clear of buildings and never use flammable liquids to start the fire. Before you light the bonfire, check that children and animals are not hiding inside and are a safe distance away. Don't leave bonfires unattended. Don't light bonfires in unsuitable weather conditions.
