At 18:08 on Saturday, 2 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Minsterley.

1 large bonfire which had spread to adjacent rubbish pile, extinguished by Fire Service personnel using 2 hose reel jets.
