At 21:57 on Sunday, 3 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smell Of Burning in Essex Road, Church Stretton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Church Stretton and Craven Arms.

Crews investigated and incident was found to be a false alarm as the smell of burning was from an external source.
