At 22:15 on Thursday, 7 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Crumps Brook.

4 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer, Craven Arms and Ludlow.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

This incident was a large fire on the common approx 200m by 100m involving gorse and undergrowth.
