At 15:18 on Friday, 8 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

5 fire appliances were mobilised from Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Fire service called to one sheep in the river. Sheep rescued by passer by with boat.
