At 18:07 on Tuesday, 23 June, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Wellington.

Reports of fire on the Wrekin. A thorough search was conducted of the mast area and Trig point by Fire Crews with no sign of any fire.
