At 17:45 on Wednesday, 7 October, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Also at the scene of the incident were: a vet.

Crews called to a cat stuck on railings. Crews used pedal cutters to release the cat.
