Fire In Open

At 20:57 on Tuesday, 6 April, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

This was reported as a house fire. On arrival, this was found to be a bonfire. Crews extinguished using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
