At 16:04 on Saturday, 10 April, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smoke Issuing in Officers Mess, RAF Cosford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central.

Call to smoke issuing from the Officers Mess building which was found to be a false alarm caused by steam from a burst hot water pipe.
