At 09:21 on Monday, 12 April, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Wellington and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Lifting & animal harnesses, straps

Crews assisted 1 horse which had fallen in stable and unable to get back up. Crews used animal rescue equipment.
