At 12:05 on Saturday, 31 July, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Bicton, Shrewsbury .

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of one cow stuck in the river. This incident was a false alarm, cow had self-extricated from river without fire service assistance.
