At 16:11 on Saturday, 28 August, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Field Of Straw in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Market Drayton and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of field fire approximately 5 acres of cut straw. Fire crews used 1 hose reel jet and beaters to extinguish fire.
