At 00:28 on Wednesday, 6 October, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Wem.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Prees, Shrewsbury, Tweedale, Wem and Whitchurch. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Property fire involving building approximately 30m x 50m, smoke and flames issuing from roof space. 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 main jet, and thermal imaging camera in use.
