At 07:22 on Sunday, 9 October, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Oswestry.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Oswestry and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 2 saloon vehicles, 2 casualties & 1 dog trapped, crews currently using holmatro to release casualties. A5 has been closed in both directions whilst emergency services work on scene. 08:17 - 1 male released from estate car and now being looked after by Air Ambulance crews. 1 female still trapped - attempts being made to extricate. 1 dog rescued from rear of car and now in the custody of the police.

At 19:48 on Wednesday, 5 October, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Persons Reported Fire in Wem.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

All persons accounted for and safely out of the property prior to Fire Service arrival, after initial investigation upon arrival the incident was found to be a chimney fire. 2 female casualties received oxygen therapy from Fire Service personnel prior to Paramedic arrival, casualties now receiving treatment from Paramedics and Ambulance Service personnel.

Involving 1 car which has left the road and come to rest in hedgerow, 50% of the vehicle has been affected by fire which has also affected the hedgerow.

Small fire involving the use of a microwave to heat clothing, found to be out upon the arrival of the Fire Service. 1 elderly lady treated by Fire Service personnel using Oxygen therapy for slight smoke inhalation prior to Ambulance Service arrival and left in care Ambulance Service personnel for any required further assessment and treatment.

At 18:33 on Tuesday, 20 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Pontesford.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 1 van and 1 car. One female casualty released from entrapment in the car by Fire Fighters using cutting equipment. Vehicles also made safe by Fire Fighters using small tools. 3 other persons out of the vehicle prior to arrival of Fire Service personnel, being tended to by Ambulance Service personnel.
