Request detail:

As part of our efforts to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by electricity in the UK, we are putting together a report on e-scooter and e-bike safety. The information gathered will be used by our public affairs, media, and technical teams to drive campaigns and research for improvement in the safety associated with fire risk.

We are contacting you to see if your fire and rescue service is monitoring the data for fires caused by e-bikes and e-scooters in the past two years (2022 and 2021) and if you'd be willing to share this data to inform our work and ensure that the public are educated on the risks these devices pose.
