At 23:16 on Friday, 12 February, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Ludlow .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Craven Arms and Ludlow. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation

Incident involving fire in kitchen area, crews used four breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish, and positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke logging of the premises

4 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Open water supply

Single storey outbuilding 100% involved in fire. Crews have now extinguished the fire and are now damping down.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

This incident involved one car 50% damaged by fire. Two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet used to extinguish fire.

LGV Fire

M54 Westbound Jct 3 - 4

At 04:58 on Friday, 5 February, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Albrighton, Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency.

Crews have attended a second lorry on M54 with brakes on fire. Fire extinguished using 2 hose reel jets and thermal imaging camera to monitor temperatures. M54 hardshoulder and lane 1 are closed whilst the crews deal with the incident.

M54 Westbound Junction 3 to Junction 4 Telford

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Albrighton, Telford and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency.

Incident involved lorry and trailer overheated brakes causing the tyres to explode. Crews have reduced the heat of the brakes to an ambient temperature using 2 hose reel jets.
