At 03:09 on Thursday, 5 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Kidderminster.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving gorse approximately 30 metres by 50 metres. Crews using four hose reel jets and beaters to extinguish fire.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving one private motor vehicle fully involved in fire. Crews used two breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets to extinguish.
