At 11:14 on Friday, 4 August, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Ludlow.

7 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer, Craven Arms and Ludlow. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Agricultural building fire involving 3 farm vehicles and 30 tonnes of straw in barn. Crews using 2 main jets and 2 hose reel jets. Crews in attendance include 2 water carriers and assistance from one appliance from Hereford & Worcester Fire Service.

At 21:13 on Wednesday, 12 July, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Telford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation

Fire service were called to an AFA at the premises which, on arrival, was found to be a confirmed fire. 2 forklift trucks and one pallet of stock damaged by fire.

5 fire appliances were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Bridgnorth, Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving agricultural building approximately 10 x 10 metres. Fire involving barn, hay and agricultural vehicles. Two main jets 1 hose reel jet and 2 breathing apparatus in use.

Approximately 200 tyres alight in the open. Crews are using 2 main jets and the pumping unit to extinguish and damp down the fire

Fire involving a large pile of tyres and adjacent residential property. The house had fire damage to windows, window frames and smoke damage to the interior.

4 fire appliances including the Environmental Protection Unit were mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer, Ludlow and Tweedale. Operations, Hazmat and Specialist Advisor officers were in attendance.

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

1 Tractor and Trailer alight carrying fertilizer. Crews successfully worked to remove a potential explosive risk and to protect the environment.
