At 18:25 on Friday, 4 October, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Farm Fire in The Down, Bridgnorth .
2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Hosereel jet
- Short extension ladder
- Thermal imaging camera
Grain dryer with 15 tonnes of grain involved in fire. Section has been removed with assistance of farmer with hotspots detected from thermal imaging camera. Crew have dampened down area and continued to monitor hotspots.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
Car involved in fire which had spread to two meters of hedgerow. Crews used two hosereel jets to extinguish whilst wearing breathing apparatus and checked hot spots using a thermal imagining camera.

Report of smoke coming from Kinsley Wood. Crews investigated on foot and using thermal imaging camera to check the area. No fire found, however there is a small amount of low lying mist in woodland area. This is believed to be a false alarm.

- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
Towing caravan completely destroyed by fire. Crews extinguished using 2 hosereel jets whilst wearing breathing apparatus and checked temperatures using a thermal imaging camera. Recovery of caravan being arranged by owner. Traffic being managed by fire service personnel.
