At 13:35 on Tuesday, 16 February, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Grass Fire in Hopton Wafers.

3 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer and Craven Arms.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet
• Knapsacks

Approximately three hectares of gorse alight, crews used one hose reel jet, knapsack sprayer and beaters to extinguish

Quantity of grass, undergrowth and large bales alight, beaters and hosereel jet fogging system in use, crews delayed some time damping down and turning over
