At 14:11 on Wednesday, 31 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Bridgnorth.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Telford.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Approximately 100 SQM of straw alight in field. Fogging unit from Incident Support Unit (ISU), beaters and farm machinery in use use, crews dragging aout and damping down.
