4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer, Newport, Telford Central and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Fire involving railway embankment and 2 acres of adjacent field. Crews using hose reel jets and beaters to extinguish. Incident support units from Tweedale and Newport are also assisting.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

Crews dealing with two seat of fire - the first one tree and approximately 25 x 5 meters of hedgerow and grass involved - two hose reel jets and beaters used to extinguish. Second seat of fire involved controlled burn which spread to hedgerow approx. 10m x 5m which has been extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

This incident was a large fire on the common approx 200m by 100m involving gorse and undergrowth.
