Tree Fire

At 15:23 on Saturday, 30 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Tree Fire.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters

Crews dealing with two seat of fire - the first one tree and approximately 25 x 5 meters of hedgerow and grass involved - two hose reel jets and beaters used to extinguish. Second seat of fire involved controlled burn which spread to hedgerow approx. 10m x 5m which has been extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit, the Pinzgauer and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Craven Arms, Telford Central and Wellington. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving shrubland. Three appliances are currently in attendance dealing with the fire, together with off road vehicles for access.

This incident was a large fire on the common approx 200m by 100m involving gorse and undergrowth.
