Crews used 1 fogging pump branch to extinguish a 5x5m,deep seated fire

Fire involving hay baler and approximately 50 x 20 metres of cut straw - Two hose reel jets, 2 breathing apparatus, drag rakes and beaters in use.

At 17:53 on Monday, 11 May, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Claverley.

9 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit, the Rescue Tender and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Craven Arms and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Small gear

Small fire involving brick built barn containing livestock. All livestock were safely removed by farmer prior to arrival of Fire Service. Four breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets, drag rakes and small gear used.
