At 23:22 on Friday, 11 January, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Ellesmere and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Stirrup pump

Chimney fire involving a log burner in property. The crews have removed the log burner, and used chimney rods and stirrup pump to extinguish the fire. The aerial ladder platform assisted due to difficult access.

Crew from Bridgnorth have dealt with a chimney fire using small gear, chimney rods and 9 meter ladder to gain access from the exterior. They have checked for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera.
