At 18:35 on Friday, 3 February, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Clee Hill.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

Fire involving discarded domestic furniture and rubbish. Fire was deliberate. Crews extinguished using 1 hosereel jet and drag rakes.

This incident was a false alarm caused by the controlled burning of waste material at the location. The occupiers were in attendance monitoring the situation therefore no fire service action required.

5 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Church Stretton, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

This incident involves an area of gorse measuring approximately 300 - 400 metres squared. A number of hose reel jets and beaters are in use to extinguish the fire.
