One tree branch which had come into contact with electrical cable causing arcing. National grid informed and requested to attend. No action required by fire service.

At 12:15 on Tuesday, 12 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.
4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Newport, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations and Specialist Advisor officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Beaters
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
200m X 100m of Gorse and Grass alight. Beaters, 4 x Hose reel jets, 3 x 45m jets and 2 fogging units utilised off the incident support units used to tackle the fire. Drone also in use to check for further fire spread.

This incident involved trees and undergrowth on fire, this incident is believed to have been caused by a discarded cigarette. Crews used 1 hosereel jet, knapsack, beaters and buckets of water to extinguish the fire.

A patch of land measuring approximately 10 meters by 3 meters smouldering and crackling. Crews extinguished using a hose reel jet and a misting lance. Temperatures of area checked using a thermal imaging camera.
