2 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Baschurch and Church Stretton.

• Knapsacks
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

Deep seated fire in woodland area. Pinzgauer 4 x 4 off road vehicle mobilised for access as access to the incident is difficult.

At 04:27 on Saturday, 3 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Hodnet.

5 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Prees, Wellington and Wem. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Main jet

Approximately 300 tonnes of baled hay fully involved in fire. Fire now surrounded and a fire break in place. Two main jets in use from improvised dam and farm supply borehole. Fire believed to be deliberate. Any information please call 101 Relief crews continuing to attend at this incident
