At 12:46 on Wednesday, 30 December, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Bridgnorth.
1 fire appliance was mobilised from Bridgnorth.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the RSPCA.
Reports of a small dog entering rabbit hole, discovered to be a badger sett . Under the 1992 Protection Of Badgers Act, Fire Service Personnel were unable to assist but advice was given to the dog owner. The dog reappeared, unharmed after a short amount of time.

This incident involved the rescue of a horse which had slipped and become trapped in the hedgerow. Crews released using small gear and animal rescue specialist equipment.
