At 17:15 on Sunday, 4 July, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Telford.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Small fire in barn involving small quantity of discarded furniture set alight. Fire crews used 1 hose reel jet and thermal image camera.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Fire involving approx 5 tonnes of hay within barn, crews using two hose reel jets, two main jets, thermal image camera and drag rakes to extinguish

At 21:17 on Monday, 7 June, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire.

2 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Fire crews have attended fire involving a feeder into woodchip area of a barn. Crews have inspected and assisted owner to locate burnt woodchip and damp down. Thermal imaging camera has also been used to monitor the ambient temperatures.

6 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Rescue Tender, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Newport, Telford and Wellington. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Barn fire involving straw and manitou machine. Fire crew used 3 hose reel jets, 6 breathing apparatus, 3 x 45mm jets and 3 improvised monitors.
