At 16:44 on Sunday, 24 April, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Cold Hatton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Fire involving approximately 5 tonnes of wood chip and 10 meters of hedgerow. Crews using 2 hose reel jets and drag rakes to extinguish the fire.
