I’m trying to collate some figures about wildfires, and I was hoping you might be able to tell us how many wildfires the service has tackled so far this year?
Response detail:
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request. I can confirm that Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service have recorded no (zero) wildfires this year (to date) as defined by the following criteria outlined in our Operational Procedural Guidance:
- Involves area greater than 1 Hectare.
- 4 or more appliances attended.
- 6+ Hours of resources committed.
