At 16:08 on Thursday, 24 August, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Much Wenlock.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Much Wenlock and Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Crews were mobilised after receiving a call stating that a field and hedgerow were alight. Crews extinguished the fire using 4 hose reel jets and the fogging unit on the Incident Support Unit.
