At 05:45 on Monday, 25 September, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: a vet.

Crews attended to a cow stuck in slurry lagoon. Cow rescued and left in care of vet.
