At 02:31 on Sunday, 3 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Wellington.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water

This incident was found to be a false alarm with good intent due to wood being burnt in a brazier. Fire service personnel have extinguished using buckets of water.
