At 08:53 on Saturday, 9 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as SSC Non Urgent in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

1 lady rescued from a partially submerged car which had entered floodwater. Tirfor winch in use.
