At 00:19 on Tuesday, 19 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

This incident was found to be a false alarm due to a system fault, full internal and external search has been completed by Fire Service Personnel.
