At 17:44 on Wednesday, 10 January, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

1 van smoking from underside of vehicle. Crews carried out a thorough investigation and isolated battery.
