At 03:14 on Tuesday, 6 February, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Childs Ercall.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Fire involving domestic wheelie bin and 2m of fencing. Fire spread to window frame of house. 1 hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and lighting in use to extinguish the fire and check for any remaining hot spots.
