At 11:27 on Friday, 15 March, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Pontesbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reported smell of smoke and fire coming from garage area. This incident was a false alarm due to a controlled burning of waste.
