At 03:49 on Friday, 20 September, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Dry powder extinguisher
• Hosereel jet
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Reports of 1 casualty trapped in vehicle which had come to rest on roof in a field just of the carriageway. On arrival of crews, casualty was found to have self extricated. Crews made vehicle safe.
