At 14:10 on Monday, 14 October, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

One tractor and one private car involved in collision. Casualties now in the care of ambulance service.
