At 19:05 on Tuesday, 22 October, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Bonfire which became out of control. Bonfire which affected two garages, fencing and trees. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.
