Fire In Open

At 14:18 on Saturday, 2 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving area of grass and undergrowth spreading to woodland adjacent to Canongate measuring approximately 30 meters by 30 meters. Crews have extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet, buckets and beaters and are continuing to dampen down the area.
