At 08:48 on Tuesday, 5 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Whitchurch.

5 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Telford Central, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving silage clamp. Crews extinguished fire using 2 main jets and 2 hose reel jets.
