At 19:50 on Friday, 22 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington.

This incident was a pony stuck in muddy pond. Animal rescue teams used the rescue tender winch to rescue the pony from the muddy pond.
