At 16:28 on Wednesday, 17 September, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was found to be a false alarm due to testing on the system.
