At 19:00 on Tuesday, 27 January, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Wem.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Cutters/Spreaders
• Door opener

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

One vehicle which had come to rest on its side with two persons trapped. Crews used Holmatro cutting equipment to extricate both casualties. Incident was left with Police.
