At 22:06 on Friday, 12 December, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

5 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington.

1 Sheep retrieved from edge of flood water

WM Huckle said: "Shropshire Fire and Rescue service would urge owners of life stock that are in fields close to Rivers and Streams to move them to higher ground away from the rivers and streams as the some animals can be cut off and isolated from the flock/herd by rising water levels."
